My mothers branch of the family all originated in Germany. All four of here grandparents emigrated from towns located to the east of Frankfurt. The Schulz branch led the way in 1846, followed by the Kimbal and Amborn branches in 1847. Her grandfather Zang died in Germany 1871, but his wife emigrated sometime between 1880 and 1883. All of them eventually settled around present day Lyons, Wisconsin.
