My fathers parents were both emigrants from Norway.
- Anton Edwin Hanson (son of Hans Emaus Isakson and Inger Helene Andersdatter) descended from a long line of residents from the coastal town of Nesna, Nordland, Norway, located just South of the Arctic Circle. All of his relatives were born and raised in Nesna or nearby towns. He emigrated to the United States with his family in 1904.
- Ingre Marie Antonsdatter (daughter of Anton Martin Syversen and Laura Larsdatter) was born in Skiptet, Østfold, Norway which is located East and South of present day Oslo. Her mother died when she was 5 years old: I believe she was raised by an Aunt and Uncle. She emigrated to the United States when she was 22 years old ( and was the only member of my family known to have passed through Ellis Island).
